Trips

Create and manage trips — the top-level container for everything you plan.

A trip is the top-level container in yumo. Every itinerary, booking, checklist, and note belongs to a trip.

Creating a trip

From the trips dashboard, click New trip. You'll be asked for:

  • A name (you can change it any time).
  • A start and end date (also editable; events outside the range won't be deleted).
  • An optional destination to seed inspiration suggestions.

Trips are private by default — only you can see them until you share.

The trip dashboard

Opening a trip takes you to its dashboard, which shows:

  • A summary of upcoming flights and stays.
  • The next few events on your itinerary.
  • Quick links into each section (logistics, bucket list, checklist, etc.).
  • The list of collaborators.

Renaming, duplicating, deleting

From the trip's Settings tab you can:

  • Rename the trip.
  • Duplicate it — useful for templating recurring trips (e.g. an annual ski week). The duplicate copies the itinerary structure, checklists, and notes; logistics and personal bookings are not copied.
  • Delete the trip. Soft-deleted trips can be restored within 30 days.

Sharing & collaboration

Click Share to invite people by email. Collaborators see the trip in real time and can edit any section. There are two roles:

  • Editor — can add, edit, and delete anything.
  • Viewer — read-only.

You can change a collaborator's role or remove them at any time from the Share dialog.

Vision boards have their own collaborator list, separate from the trip — see the vision boards page for details.
