Bucket lists

A categorized wishlist of things to do on a trip — that you can promote to real itinerary events.

A bucket list is a free-form wishlist of places and experiences you want to hit on a trip — brainstormed loosely, without committing to a day.

Adding items

Click + Add item and enter:

  • Title (required) — Cherry blossoms at Ueno Park.
  • Category — attraction, food & drink, event, shopping, entertainment, nature, culture, nightlife, wellness, or other.
  • Location — city, country, address, or a lat/lng. If you give a city without coordinates, yumo geocodes it automatically.
  • Notes — context, links, who recommended it.

You can also import places directly from TikTok or Xiaohongshu posts — see Imports for the link-import flow.

Scheduled vs. unscheduled

Bucket-list items have two states:

  • Unscheduled — brainstorm-only, not tied to any day. The default.
  • Scheduled — linked to an itinerary event on a specific day. The item shows a day pill; the event shows the item as its source.

There's no "mark done" — use the itinerary's own checkbox once the event is linked.

Promoting to the itinerary

Click an item's Add to itinerary action and pick a day (and optionally a time). yumo creates an event on that day with the item's title, notes, and location — and links it back so you can see what's been scheduled.

This is the recommended workflow: brainstorm freely on the bucket list, then graduate items into the itinerary as the trip firms up.

If the itinerary event later gets deleted, or you want to re-schedule, use Unmark on the bucket-list item to clear the link and free it up.

Filtering

The bucket list supports filtering by category and by state (all / unscheduled / scheduled). Combine filters to answer questions like all food stops we haven't scheduled yet.
