Follows

Follow the people whose taste you trust and see their world through their visits.

Yumo's social graph is built on one-way follows: when you follow someone, their public (and followers-only) activity shows up in your feed. They don't have to follow you back.

Following & unfollowing

From any profile, tap Follow to start following, or Following to stop. Toggling is instant — both parties' follower / following counts update immediately.

There's no approval flow. Anyone can follow anyone, subject to the followed user's per-visit privacy settings.

Follower & following lists

Each profile exposes two tabs:

  • Followers — accounts that follow this user.
  • Following — accounts this user follows.

Both lists are public. The lists render as scrollable cards with a follow button on each row so you can pivot into someone new from a friend's following list.

Effects on visibility

Following unlocks:

  • Feed events for the followed user's activity (see Feed).
  • Followers-only visits from that user — visible on their profile and in your feed.
  • "People you follow" badges on place detail drawers when someone you follow has visited.

Discovering people to follow

Three surfaces help you find new accounts:

  • Discover → Suggested people — personalized suggestions.
  • Search (people tab) — direct lookup by username or display name.
  • Profile → Followers / Following — walk the graph from accounts you already trust.
